Convert PNG to PDF and keep screenshots, diagrams and graphics crisp. PNG is a lossless format, so it’s often used for images with text, sharp lines or interface elements. This tool places those images into a PDF without re-encoding them as lossy JPGs.
Combine a series of screenshots into one document for a bug report or tutorial, or turn each PNG into its own PDF. Everything is processed by your browser on your own device, so no image is uploaded anywhere.
There’s nothing to pay and nothing to sign up for. The PDF carries no watermark, and you can convert as many images as you need. Transparent areas in your PNGs show up clean against the white page rather than as a gray or black box.
How to use PNG to PDF
Select your PNG files
Drop PNG images onto the page or choose them from your device. JPG and WebP files can be mixed in too.
Put them in order
Drag the images so they appear in the sequence you want in the PDF.
Set the layout
Choose a Page size (Same as image, A4 or US Letter), an Orientation and a Margin. Keep Put all images in one PDF ticked for a single document.
Convert and download
Click Convert to PDF and save the file to your device.
Keeping screenshots sharp in a PDF
Text in a screenshot can turn blurry when it’s squeezed onto a small page. For on-screen reading, choose Same as image so each page matches the screenshot’s pixel dimensions and nothing is scaled down.
If the document will be printed, A4 or US Letter with a Small margin gives a familiar page layout. Very wide screenshots fit better on landscape pages, which Automatic orientation picks for you.
PNG vs. JPG: does the format matter for PDF?
For photographs, JPG and PNG look much the same inside a PDF, but JPG files are smaller. For anything with text, lines or flat colors, PNG avoids the smudgy edges that JPG compression can create.
Because this converter doesn’t recompress your images, the PDF keeps whatever quality the original files had. Start with clean PNGs and the PDF will be clean too.
WebP files saved from websites can be added alongside PNGs. They’re handled the same way, so a mix of formats ends up as one consistent document.
Turning many PNGs into one document
Select every image in one go, check the order and convert. Each PNG becomes one page. Naming files with leading numbers (01.png, 02.png) makes long sets easier to sort before you start.
To get the pages back out as images later, the PDF to PNG tool reverses the process.
Questions people ask
Is PNG to PDF free?
Yes. The converter is free, needs no account and doesn’t add a watermark.
Will my PNG lose quality in the PDF?
No. Images are placed into the PDF without being converted to JPG, so they keep their original sharpness.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is created in your browser, and your images never leave your device.
Can I convert multiple PNG files at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like and choose whether they go into one PDF or one file each.
Why is my PDF large?
PNG files are lossless and can be big, especially high-resolution screenshots. Use Compress PDF afterward if you need a smaller file.
Can I do this on a Mac without an app?
Yes. Open this page in Safari or Chrome on your Mac. Preview can also export a single PNG as a PDF, but this tool is quicker for many images.
What happens to transparent PNG backgrounds?
Transparent areas appear as the plain page background in the PDF, so logos and icons don’t end up sitting on a dark box.
