Privacy policy

Your files

Files you open with PDFbis tools are processed entirely in your web browser. They are not uploaded to our servers or to any third party, and we cannot see, store or recover them. When you close the page, the file data is cleared from the page’s memory.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request) for security and to keep the service running. We may also use Google Analytics to understand which tools are used, which sets cookies and collects usage data in aggregate. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. We may also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with pages (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) to help us improve the site; it sets cookies and masks text you type. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Analytics cookies are only set if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. Until then, Clarity is not loaded and Google Analytics runs without cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.

Children

PDFbis is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access or delete personal data held about you. Because we don’t receive your files or run user accounts, we usually hold no personal data beyond the logs and cookies described above. Contact us at info@pdfbis.com with any request.
